Studio Policies
COVID-19 UPDATE:
As of 6/27/2022:
In response to new protocols on the use of face coverings by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state of Texas, Innovative Dance's COVID-19 protocols have been updated:
If you or your dancer are feeling sick, please stay home. If exposed to someone with COVID-19, please follow current CDC guidelines.
It is only by working together that we can all stay healthy. We are thankful for all of your cooperation and are incredibly blessed to not have any spread of Covid-19 in our studio.
STUDIO POLICIES:
Tuition and Payment Policy: All tuition is due by the 5th of each month. A late fee of $20 will be applied to the account after the 5th of the month. We send an email invoice a week before the 1st, on the 1st, and on the 5th of each month. We do not keep any credit cards on file. You may pay through the tuition tab on our website via PayPal or at the front desk. REFUNDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS. If by chance, we accept your refund request, you will be refunded within 90 days of contacting us.
Refunds:
For all dancers, recreational and/or competitor, all tuition and fees are non-refundable. No Refunds. No exceptions. In the event you are granted credit to your account, credits are applicable only toward future fees and are not convertible into cash or any type of refund.
Additional Fees:
Recital fee ($100/student) and recital costume fees ($80/dance) will be applied to each account on December 1st. These fees must be paid in order for your dancer to participate in SPRING recital - (there is no charge for participating in the Holiday Show). If you register after December 1st, the recital fee will be applied on your dancer's first day of classes. REFUNDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Registering: The easiest way to register your dancer is by filling out our registration form. Here you will be able to fill out all necessary information we need from you and select the desired classes for your dancer. There is a yearly registration fee of $35. This fee will be applied to your first statement.
Attendance/Make-Up Class:
In order to keep progressing, we encourage all dancers to attend as many of their dance classes as possible. Please make every effort to be in class and to notify the studio by phone if a student must miss a class. You may arrange a make-up class at that time. Make-ups should be made within a week of the missed class.
Holiday / Studio Closings:
IDI follows the AISD academic calendar for all holidays, cancellation for after school activities, and closings due to bad weather. Make-up classes are available. See our important calendar dates for upcoming closed times.
Withdrawal/Drop Policy:
Withdrawals are acceptable through email only. Please write an email to info@ididance.com to address your dancer's withdrawal. Dancers that have FOUR consecutive absences and an outstanding balance will automatically be dropped from classes. We will send out a last chance email to reserve your spot in the class, however, it is up to the teacher's discretion to allow the dancer to attend class after being dropped.
Photography and Videography:
Innovative Dance is granted permission to take photos/videos of students for studio use in all marketing and other promotional materials created by IDI Staff members. We strongly refrain from any sort of videography of choreography in the studio, unless your dancer is in the routine. This is to protect the privacy of our dancers and our instructors' choreography.
Arriving:
Dancers are to arrive on time to their class in the correct attire. It will be up to the instructor's discretion to allow any dancer into class 15 minutes after class has started due to safety reasons. Parents, please drop student off in front of door, or park and walk student to door. Parents have the choice of dropping student off at studio or waiting in lobby and utilizing viewing windows. All students must keep personal belongings and clothing in studio cubbies. The studio is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or missing items. Please be sure and check dance bag, purses, backpacks and etc., before leaving studio.
Departing:
Please pick up your dancer in a timely manner. If you will be late picking up your child, please call the studio and inform the office. DO NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO WALK OUT INTO PARKING LOT TO LOCATE YOUR VEHICLE! Please park and come inside to pick up your student. Safety is key! The studio is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or missing items. Please be sure and check dance bag, purses, backpacks and etc., before leaving studio.
Classroom:
- No gum or food allowed in dance rooms.
-Water bottles may be brought in dance rooms. Parents and students are responsible for supplying water.
- Viewing windows are available for friends and family of dancers.
- Please do not communicate with dancers through window. If it becomes too distracting for the dancer, we might ask you to leave the viewing area.
- Do not open classroom doors at any time and disrupt class. Please wait until class is dismissed to speak with teachers or students.
Students and staff are expected to act with integrity, grace, and kindness. Any student found ridiculing/disrespecting a student, using foul language, horse-playing, or disrespecting an instructor will be verbally reprimanded and/or asked to sit and observe class. The instructor will contact parent over the phone or set a meeting with parent if deemed necessary. Any parent or student wishing to speak or meet with a staff member or owner for any reason is encouraged to contact them immediately. Please do not keep instructors from beginning class on time or staying late past studio hours.
INNOVATIVE DANCE INC STUDIO POLICY AGREEMENT
By enrolling at Innovative Dance, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by all studio policies. I hereby assume all financial responsibility for my dancer(s) enrolled at Innovative Dance. I further understand that I will be charged for all classes until I have notified the studio via email of my child's withdrawal from classes. I also note that all transactions are final and there are no refunds available under any circumstance.
